Top 10 Films of 2003
Chidmark E. Ramirez

1. The Return of the King
The last installment of the Lord of the Rings
trilogy, Return of the Kings does not disappoint.
Crtics everywhere has hailed this as one of the best
films of 2003. I do hope it gets the Oscar for Best
Film come February 29 where it leads all films in
contention with 11 Oscar nominations.

2. Mystic River
Great film. Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, and Marcia
Gay Harden each deserve their Oscar nominations for
their work in this film and so does its director,
Clint Eastwood. It has a great musical score too.

3. City of God
A foreign-language film from Brazil. The
killings looks so real that others may get turned off
by the amount of violence shown in this film. Gritty
realism at its best. It got several Oscar nods
including direction and editing.

4. X-Men United
     Better than the original.

5. The Last Samurai
Great action. Cruise and Watanabe each give
intense performances.

6. Kill Bill Volume 1
       Uma rocks.

7. Finding Nemo
Funny, dude..... Ellen Degeneres is hilarious.

8. Pirates of the carribean
Johnny Depp carried this film all throughout.
Deserves the Oscar nod for Best Actor.

9. Freaky Friday
        Laugh-out-loud funny.

10. Italian Job
         Smart.

Matrix Reloaded and Revolution will be out this year.
